When a date for your surgery has been confirmed. You will be provided with an information pack.
This pack contains:
- Name of the procedure/operation.
- Hospital and Time of admission.
- Hospital Admission Forms.
- Informed financial consent / GAP – Out of Pocket fee.
- Fasting instructions.
- Postoperative appointment.
Once surgery is proposed it can often be a collaborative team effort with other specialists involved with consultation and further tests. Our priority is for you to have an optimal outcome from your procedure. If you are scheduled for a major operation or have multiple medical problems, Mr Choi may ask you to see a specialist physician/cardiologist, prior to surgery. He will review your health and current level of fitness. This may include further testing as our perioperative physician deems necessary. This will be explained to you at the time of your consultation.
You are encouraged to ask questions about your health and what you can do to make your procedure ideal and recovery optimal.
